Management System Certification Schemes

Standardization plays a vital role in meeting the challenges of international competitiveness in information and communications technologies and other fields related to electro-technical areas. Absence of standardization could lead to rejection of the goods traded, much more so in a highly competitive world where other parties have implemented standardization practices. In the context of international competitiveness, the emphasis is not only on conformity to the requirements of standards of the product and/or the service but also on the demonstrability of its quality. The international market forces in recent times have shown a trend towards the demonstrability of quality systems, which should be certified by a third party, so that the products and/or the service be traded across the international boundaries.

With this objective, STQC Certification Services took the lead and became the first Third Party Certification Agency of Indian origin in India in 1991 to offer QMS certification.

QMS scheme have been designed and operated to meet the requirements of accreditation standard ISO 17021.
