ERTL(North)

Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (North), New Delhi, popularly known as ERTL (N), is one of the flagship laboratory of STQC Directorate, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India engaged primarily in providing Accredited Calibration and Testing facilities. ERTL (North) serves the industries primarily located in northern India with an aim of upgrading the overall quality of electronics products manufactured in India.

Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (North) was established in 1981 as Test, Evaluation and Calibration Center in the premises of National Physical Laboratory (NPL) Delhi. In 1982, it was shifted to its present location and since then is operating at S-Block, Okhla Industrial Area, phase II, New Delhi. ERTL(N) is one of the prime laboratories of STQC-Directorate, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. The ERTL(N) achieved the status of first test laboratory under NCTCF (National Cooperation of Test And Calibration Facilities). Subsequently, the laboratory implemented Management System for Laboratories as per NABL: 101, Criteria & Its Implementation and updated to IS/ISO/IEC 17025.

ERTL(N) is performing its activities, as an independent test laboratory in the field of electronic and electrical testing, calibration, developmental assistance, software testing and certification and training.

The laboratory strives to identify the customer's needs and update the facilities accordingly. . It is equipped with the state of the art test and calibration facilities, software testing tools, qualified, trained and experienced technical manpower and always striving to be a laboratory of excellence in its scope of services.The laboratory shall ensure quality of the results provided to customers by implementing checks, interalab comparisons and participation in interlab comparisons and proficiency testing.

• Accredited under National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for Calibration and Testing as per scope.
• Recognition by BIS for safety testing under Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) of MeitY.
• Recognition by BIS for testing of Electrical and Electronic products.
• Approved by STQC Directorate under Safety Certification Scheme (S-Mark) Scheme.
• Recognized by TEC, Department of Telecom under Mandatory Testing and Certification Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) Scheme.
• Testing for Safety of Electronics/Electrical products by SASO, SONCAP.
• Testing of equipment for CE marking under self declaration for manufacturers interested in export to Europe.

To ensure the degree of equivalence, this laboratory is participating in Inter-laboratory comparison programmes. All of our calibration facilities are NABL accredited.
