ERTL(S), Thiruvananthapuram
Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (South), Trivandrum, popularly known as ERTL(South), is one of the Laboratories under STQC Directorate, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, engaged primarily in providing Accredited Calibration and Testing facilities.
It is one of the four ERTL set ups of STQC Directorate, dedicated to serve small and medium-scale Electrical, Electronic and IT industries spread across the country. The Lab was under the administrative control of KELTRON and was taken over by Government of India in March 1988.
ERTL(South) serves the industries located in its operational region, the southern part of India, with an aim of upgrading the overall quality of relevant products.
Various activities of the Laboratory are manned by well qualified, trained and experienced engineers mostly trained in India and abroad in the relevant areas of Technology. Our manpower includes 20 technical and 7 non-technical staff. The highly reliable Testing and Calibration services are availed by organizations like VSSC, KELTRON, C-DAC, Airports Authority, NPCIL, NTPC etc.

- The Laboratory is accredited by NABL, for Electro-technical calibration and Electrical Testing services for Medical Equipment.

Specialized Services
- Lead laboratory in the country for safety testing of medical electronic equipment and an accredited Test Laboratory under NABL
- Lead laboratory in the country for the Screening of SMDs like LCR of different miniature sizes, discrete devices, digital and linear ICs.
